Carrollton, GA - The UWG men's basketball team got their fourth win of the season on Tuesday afternoon defeating Carver College 87-73 at The Coliseum.
Every player that got in the game for UWG scored, including four in double figures, led by 17 each from Jovany Austin and Deonta Stocks. Austin finished with a double-double, pulling down 11 rebounds.
In the first half, the Wolves spread out the scoring with four players scoring at least five points as they led 32-30 at the break. Jovany Austin led all scorers at the half with eight points to go along with seven first half rebounds. As a team, the Wolves struggled from behind the three-point line shooting 0-for-12.
The Wolves opened the first three minutes of the second half on a 12-0 run, powered by two three-pointers from
Alex Abreu, jumping out to a big double-digit lead they would never lose as the Wolves cruised to victory.
UWG finished the game shooting 39.3 percent from the field including 25 percent from behind the three-point line, fueled by a 7-for-16 performance in the second half.

Emory Bernard joined Stocks and Austin scoring in double figues. Abreu had 15 points while Bernard added 12. Senior
Thomas Higginbotham had six assists in the win.
The win improves the Wolves to 4-0 on the season. The Wolves' next action comes Saturday, November 29th when UWG battles former GSC team Montevallo in non-conference action at 4:00 p.m.
