UWG Hosts more than 20 Scouts on Pro Day

CARROLLTON, Ga. - Pro Day at the University of West Georgia has become a major event over the last six years with 13 UWG football players using the annual showcase to vault into the professional ranks.

Tuesday saw 11 different UWG seniors from the 2019 season work out in front of 23 scouts from the NFL and CFL, with NFL scouts administering the workouts throughout the morning. Auzoyah Alufohai and Chad Price were among the top defensive linemen working out on the day along with linebacker Korie Rogers and wide receiver John Hurst.

Hurst had one of the top 40-yard dash times of the day, running 4.45 on his first attempt. He also turned heads with a vertical leap of 38 inches. Cornerback Cedric Asseh had one of the top broad jumps on the day, jumping 10.0 feet. Defensive lineman T.J. Fehoko produced a big number on the bench press, putting up 36 reps of 225. That number would have put him as the top defensive lineman on bench press at the 2020 NFL Combine.
