CARROLLTON, Ga. – To commemorate the 40^th year of football at the NCAA level, the University of West Georgia Athletic Department is looking back at the top-40 games in the history of the program – and we want your vote in ranking the best of the best over the past four decades of UWG football.

West Georgia busted out the gates with a bang in 1981 behind a 9-1 campaign, setting the stage for the Division III national championship season a year later.

Upon moving to the Division II ranks, some of the nominees will be benchmarks such as the 44-6 victory over rival Valdosta State in 1995 to send West Georgia to the Division II playoffs for the first time in school history, securing back-to-back Gulf South Conference crowns in 1997-98 and the run to the national semifinals in 2014-15.

There will be several other memorable moments for fans to reflect and vote on to rev up the momentum for the return to the gridiron this fall.

Fans can submit their votes for the top games in the history of West Georgia football on UWG Athletics social media pages.

For season-ticket holders from 2019, all renewals are available through July 15 for chairback seating for the upcoming season. After July 15, all seats will be available for purchase.

UWG Athletics and the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts have teamed up to provide your ticketing solution for the 2021-22 athletic year. Fans may purchase tickets through the online ticket portal at uwgsports.com/tickets.

For in-person purchases, please visit the Townsend Center Box Office, open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Convenient curbside parking is available. Enter the Townsend Center lots via the West Georgia Drive entrance and follow the appropriate signs. 

Season tickets for the general public are $100 and $50 for UWG faculty and staff for chairback seating.
