Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of West Georgia Volleyball team ended the SSC-GSC Crossover with a loss to the Lynn Fighting Knights.
UWG (11-10, 5-4 GSC) struggled to contain Lynn's (15-6, 7-4 SSC) explosive offense as the Fighting Knights put down 41 kills on a .255 hitting percentage.
Lynn started out fast, taking a commanding 10-2 lead to start. West Georgia countered, by scoring the next three points, before the Fighting Knights rattled off the next six points to take a 16-5 lead. Kills from

Sanai Young stopped the bleeding for a moment, but Lynn went on to win the set, 25-15.
Much like the fist set, the Wolves fell behind quickly as the Fighting Knights took a 10-3 lead to begin. West Georgia couldn't make up much ground as the two teams traded points, leaving the score at 16-8. Moments later, Lynn pushed their lead to 23-10 before a block from Zoë LaBreche and
Sanai Young sparked a 6-0 UWG run to cut the deficit to seven. After the West Georgia run, Lynn scored the next two points to win the set 25-16.
The third set was competitive to begin as the Wolves held an 8-7 lead early. The Fighting Knights responded, by scoring the next six points until a kill from Young ignited 4-1 UWG run, cutting Lynn's lead to 14-12. From there on out, the Fighting Knights kept the Wolves at bay as they went on to win the set, 25-17.
Kelli Kaiser picked up 17 digs for West Georgia, while Young recorded four blocks.
UWG will return to conference play on Wednesday when they host West Florida for a 5:00 p.m. midweek contest.
