CARROLLTON, Ga. - The University of West Georgia Men's Basketball program and head coach
Dave Moore made an addition to their 2024 recruiting class as Moore announced the signing of Kenneth Chime on Tuesday.
"We are really excited to add Kenneth to the '24 recruiting class," said head coach
Dave Moore. "He is a long 6'8" forward that has tremendous upside potential and high-level athleticism."
Chime, a 6'8" power forward, is originally from Enuba, Nigeria but now resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he plays high school basketball for McCallie School. With his 7'4" wingspan, Chime is known around the high school circuit as an elite rim protector and rebounder. Through four games of his senior year, the power forward is averaging 12.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game on 62% shooting, leading the Blue Tornadoes to a 4-0 start on the season.
Before making his arrival at McCallie School, Chime played AAU Basketball for the Georgia Stars which is one of the premier programs in the Nike EYBL Circuit.
"Kenneth is relatively new to the game but has a tremendous work ethic," Moore continued. "He is a guy that is going to get better and better and we can't wait to get him on campus this summer and get to work!"
Chime joins Xavier Shegog in the 2024 recruiting class, with both set to arrive on campus in the Fall.
