CARROLLTON, Ga. - The University of West Georgia men's and women's cross country teams are headed to the Sunshine State this Friday as they will compete in the final meet of the Fall Season in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in Jacksonville, Florida.

The ASUN Championship will take place at Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida with the women's team slated to participate in the 8K race, which begins at 8:00 a.m. EST, while the men's team is competing in the 5K race at 8:45 a.m. EST.

It will be the first time the Wolves have competed in a conference championship in Division I history and after good performances from both teams this season, Coach Bailey is confident in his teams heading into Friday.

"I am not one to prognosticate about meet results, but I am confident that the athletes are at the peak of their fitness right now," says Head Coach Ryan Bailey. The whole team has been on a consistent upward trajectory all season and I really do think we are firing on all eight cylinders right now. They look very good."
