CARROLLTON, Ga. – After an eight-day hiatus, the UWG women's tennis team is back in action on Wednesday, March 6, returning to Gulf South Conference play in a road match at Lee.
West Georgia (3-3, 0-1 GSC) most recently won a 4-3 decision on the road at Augusta, and now makes the trek to Tennessee for a matchup with Lee (4-1, 1-1 GSC) who has won back-to-back matches in non-conference play.
Karla Menendez has been the Wolves' most successful singles player, posting a 4-1 record thus far, while
Sophie Mnich and Le von Kozierowski each have three singles wins.
In doubles, Menendez and partner
Luna Mouton lead the way with three wins total.
Lee's lone conference win came over Delta State while their loss was at the hands of West Florida. West Georgia has played in just one league match thus far, dropping a decision to nationally-ranked AUM.
