CARROLLTON, Ga. – Two matches remain on the docket for UWG tennis and the Wolves will be on the road Wednesday at Shorter before wrapping up the season Thursday at home against Valdosta State.
West Georgia (5-9, 1-7 GSC) had their last match, a scheduled Monday contest, canceled and now look to end the season on a high-note with the shortest road trip and a final home game at Sunset Hills on Thursday at 2 p.m.
SCOUTING SHORTER
The Hawks (2-9, 0-8 GSC) are searching for their first conference win of the season, and enter Wednesday's matchup dropping five straight. Shorter's two wins this season came against Clark Atlanta and Rhodes College.
Shorter's most recent losses came at the hands of Lee, West Florida, Montevallo, Delta State, and Christian Brothers.
SCOUTING VALDOSTA STATE
Valdosta State (6-8, 5-2) will take on nationally ranked Auburn Montgomery on Wednesday before coming up to Carrollton. The Blazers most recently fell on the road to Mississippi College in just their second GSC loss of the season.
Aneta Poborilova leads VSU in singles wins with eight, winning seven of those in third singles. Natalie Rainke is the only player to line up in first singles this season, putting up a 6-7 record, but is 5-2 in league play. The combo of Poborilove and Rainke are 8-3 in doubles play this season.
SCOUTING WEST GEORGIA
The Wolves have been led by Le von Kozierowski in line one singles for the majority of the season and the freshman is 6-5 in singles play, while
Rebeca Lopez's 6-3 mark in singles play leads the Wolves.
Luna Mouton and Karla Menedez have teamed up for a 7-4 doubles record this season while von Kozierowski and
Futaba Saito have gone 6-3 when teamed up this season including four straight victories.

Karla Menendez, and Perinne Blachon prior to Thursday's season finale.
