Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Georgia Tennis team fell 7-0 to the West Alabama Tigers on Saturday.
The duo of Lea Von Kozierowski and Futaba Saito dominated their doubles match, winning 6-1, but it wouldn't make a difference as West Alabama went on to take the other two doubles matches to win the point.
Despite the loss, Karla Melendez played arguably her best match of the season, winning the first set 6-2 before falling in the second set and then falling in a tiebreaker.
Lea von Kozierowski dropped her first singles match 6-1, 6-0 while Sophie Mnich fell 6-2 and 6-2 in line two. Callie Stanfield, Perinne Blacken, and Futaba Saito all lost their singles matches as well.
West Georgia is back in action on Monday hosting Albany State for Senior Day.
