JONESBORO, Ark. - The UWG women's golf team continues their red-hot start to the 2025-26 season, and on Monday at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, the Wolves posted rounds of 295 and a school-record 283 to sit in fifth place out of 17 teams.
The Wolves' second round 283 broke a nine-year old school record for a single-round team score. West Georgia is 19 strokes behind UL Monroe who had a great Monday, shooting 17-under over 36 holes as a team.
UWG has a trio of Wolves sitting just inside the top-20 as Erin Sullivan, Hannah Barrett, and Emma Baier are tied for 19th.
Baier had the low round of the day, firing a three-under 69 in round two with five birdies. The native of Ecuador shot 75 in round one and made an eagle two on the 377-yard, par-four fourth hole.
Also in red numbers in round two was Hannah Barrett who shot a 71 in round two after a 73 in the opening round. Barrett made an eagle on the par-five first hole and ended her first day with five birdies and the eagle over 36 holes.
Sullivan was super consistent on the day, shooting back-to-back rounds of 72 on Monday and rolling in five birdies total.
The second round school record also featured a career-low 71 from freshman Sophie Dhaliwal. In round one, Dhaliwal shot 75 and also made an eagle on hole one and is in 27th place.
Sofia Mondragon shot rounds of 76 and 78 on Monday.
The top five in the team leaderboard features UL Monroe, Little Rock, Memphis, Morehead State, and the Wolves.
UWG is back in action at Sage Meadows Country Club with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
