Burton Announces Seven Signees to Class of 2026

CARROLLTON, Ga. - Last week, UWG softball head coach Kristy Burton announced seven signees to her Class of 2026. 

Burton brings three infielders in this class along with a pair of catchers, a pitcher, and an outfielder. All seven hail from the state of Georgia. 

"We are so excited about the addition on these seven student-athletes," said Burton. "This signing class will help elevate our standards and bring experience, confidence, and passion to our program. We couldn't be more excited to have them and their families join our pack. They bring a competitive edge and will be impactful on and off the field." 

Starting behind the plate, the Wolves added Bryce Greenwood from Dawsonville, Georgia and Emma Lane from Sasser, Georgia. Lane, a four-time All-Region selection at Terrell Academy and was selected as Region and State Player of the Year as a Senior. Greenwood, who prepped at Dawson County, was also a four-time All-Region selection while also earning All-State honors. She ended her career as the all-time leader in hits and RBIs in DCHS history. 

UWG's lone pitcher in this class is Lilian Robinson out of Tifton, Georgia. The Tift County product was selected All-Region three times including being named the Region's Player of the Year. 

West Georgia added two middle infielders in Raegan Watkins and Jordan Dorsey. Watkins played at Lee County in Leesburg, Georgia where she was a three-time All-Region selection. Dorsey was also a three-time All-Region selection and a USA Softball All-American out of Sprayberry High School.  

The Wolves also add a corner infielder in Rockie Sapp from Dacula, Georgia. The All-State selection and Bethlehem Christian Academy product was the Defensive Player of the Year as well as a multiple-year All-Region selection. 

UWG added Kamya Cruz to the outfield in the class of 2026. Cruz prepped at Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia. 

These seven signees will enroll in the fall of 2026 and make their debut on the 2027 UWG roster. Before that, UWG is looking forward to the 2026 schedule which was released early last week.
