UWG Softball Releases 2026 Schedule

CARROLLTON, Ga. - The UWG softball team announced today their 2026 schedule as the Wolves prepare for a 56-game slate in their second season of Division I softball. 

It's home sweet home early and often for the Wolves as they will 11 of their first 21 games at home in the month of February. They open with a home tournament, hosting Bellarmine and Austin Peay to open their season on February 6 before taking on Georgia State and Bellarmine on February 7. That Sunday, February 8, the Wolves close out their opening weekend with Drexel and Austin Peay again. All games against the Knights and Govs are non-conference games. 

UWG then takes to the road the following weekend, taking on Youngstown State and USC-Upstate twice each at Upstate's tournament in Spartanburg, South Carolina. 

The next week pits UWG against UAB on the road on February 18 before the Wolves take on South Alabama, North Alabama, Loyola Chicago, and UT Martin twice at South Alabama's tournament on February 20-22. 

On February 24, UWG hosts Jax State before then hosting Alabama State and Kennesaw State in a three-team round robin at University Softball Stadium on February 28 and March 1. 

The Wolves then travel to Samford before hosting another three-team round robin on March 7-8 with Gardner-Webb and North Alabama visiting Carrollton. 

Fans will want to circle March 10 on the schedule as the Wolves will travel to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in non-conference action. It's one of two Power Four road games for the Wolves as they travel to Georgia Tech later in the month. 

Atlantic Sun Conference play opens on March 21-22 as the Wolves travel to Charlotte to take on Queens.  

West Georgia will travel to the capital city of Atlanta on March 24 for a showdown with Georgia Tech before another road conference series the following weekend at Jacksonville. 

April 3-4 brings the Stetson Hatters to Carrollton for the Wolves' first conference opponent at home. The Wolves then travel to Troy for a non-conference doubleheader on April 8 before hosting FGCU on April 11-12 and then traveling to Stetson on April 18-19. 

UWG's final two non-conference games are against Alabama State on the road on April 14 and home against Samford on April 21. 

The Wolves close the regular season out with Jacksonville on the road on April 25-26 before hosting Queens at home on May 1-2. 

The ASUN Tournament is set for May 5-9 from the UNF Softball Complex in Jacksonville, Florida.
