CARROLLTON, Ga. - This weekend, the University of West Georgia is holding Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies, and the Department of Athletics will have 76 graduates representing the department as they become UWG alumni.
A total of 61 of those are current or former UWG student-athletes while the remaining 15 make up members of UWG's service team and coaching staff as graduate assistants or student assistants.
Members of UWG baseball and track and field are included in the above numbers and the table below, however, those teams are still competing away from campus during commencement ceremonies. The Department of Athletics held an alternative commencement ceremony last week for those student-athletes.
On Thursday, May 15, UWG Athletics held their bi-annual Graduation Reception, honoring these graduates and presenting them with their UWG Student-Athlete stole. Those with a 3.80 GPA or above also earned a graphit and gold ASUN Honor Graduate cord.
