CARROLLTON, Ga.- UWG (9-10, 3-4 ASUN) returns home for its second consecutive home game on Saturday afternoon, looking to snap a four-game conference skid as the Wolves host the ASUN's top team in Queens (12-8, 7-0 ASUN). West Georgia is coming off an 86-65 loss to Central Arkansas, while the Royals enter the matchup riding a seven-game winning streak following an 87-62 victory over North Alabama. Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24,and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

In their most recent outing, the Wolves showcased balanced scoring with three players reaching double figures, led once again by the ASUN scoring leader Shelton Williams-Dryden. The Milwaukee native posted 19 points and 10 rebounds to secure his seventh double-double of the season, continuing to assert himself as one of the most efficient offensive players in the league. Williams-Dryden is shooting 48 percent from the field, sixth-best in the ASUN, while averaging nine rebounds per game, which ranks second in the conference. 

Brady Hardewig provided a major spark from the perimeter, finishing with 12 points, three assists, and a rebound. The performance marked the third time this season he has knocked down at least four three-pointers. Hardewig has been especially dangerous at home in conference play, averaging 12 points per game across three ASUN home contests while making 12 threes and shooting a blistering 54 percent from beyond the arc.

Josh Smith rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11 points, two assists, a steal, and a block. Smith continues to be one of the league's most productive reserves, leading the ASUN in points off the bench and scoring in double figures in seven straight games, helping him average 15.8 points per game, which is sixth-best in the conference. 

JaVar Daniel also delivered a standout performance off the bench, recording eight points, eight rebounds, and a career-high six blocks while shooting 75 percent from the field and going perfect from the free throw line. Daniel now sits just one block shy of becoming top 10 all-time for blocks in a single season at UWG, totaling 35 blocks this year and leading the ASUN at 1.9 per game.

Queens enters Carrollton with one of the most explosive offenses in the conference and a deep, balanced lineup. In their most recent win, the Royals featured five double-digit scorers, led by Jordan Watford, who poured in a season-high 23 points on 70 percent shooting from the field and a perfect night at the free throw line, while adding three rebounds and two assists in just 21 minutes off the bench. 

Yoav Berman recorded his second 20-point performance of the season and contributed five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Avantae Parker was a force on the interior with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, averaging 1.2 blocks per game this season to rank fifth in the ASUN. 

Carson Schwieger added 11 points and three rebounds and currently sits second in the conference in three-point percentage at 39.5 percent, while Nasir Mann, the Royals' leading scorer, chipped in 10 points and three assists and ranks third in the ASUN in field goal percentage at 53 percent.

Historically, the Wolves and Royals have met four times, with Queens winning each matchup by an average margin of 17 points, but Saturday presents a new opportunity for West Georgia to turn the tide.

UWG averages 76.4 points per game on 43 percent shooting and continues to be one of the league's strongest rebounding teams at 36.6 boards per contest, including 12 offensive rebounds per game, while leading the ASUN with 4.78 blocks per game. Queens leads the conference offensively at 84 points per game on 48 percent shooting, ranks fourth in assists at 16 per game, and averages three blocks per contest.
