CARROLLTON, Ga.- The UWG Wolves (10-11, 4-5 ASUN) return home to the City of Dreams as they open a three-game homestand on Saturday, welcoming Austin Peay (14-6, 8-1 ASUN). Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. as the Wolves look to bounce back after a narrow 77-74 road loss at Bellarmine. Austin Peay enters the matchup as the ASUN's top team, riding a three-game winning streak with just one conference loss on the season. Despite the setback at Bellarmine, West Georgia showcased its offensive talent with four players scoring in double figures. The Wolves were led once again by the ASUN's second leading scorer Shelton Williams-Dryden, who continues to perform at an elite level. The senior poured in 25 points, grabbed five offensive rebounds, and shot an efficient 63 percent from the field. Williams-Dryden is in the midst of an incredible scoring stretch, posting at least 20 points in four of his last five games. He is shooting 49 percent from the field, ranking fifth in the conference, while also crashing the glass with 9.1 rebounds per game, second best in the ASUN.

Josh Smith earned his second consecutive start against Bellarmine and delivered a strong performance, scoring 14 points while knocking down four shots from beyond the arc and shooting 50 percent from three. Smith added two assists and a rebound, continuing his consistent scoring run. He has reached double figures in nine straight games and currently ranks sixth in the ASUN in scoring at 16 points per game.

West Georgia's perimeter shooting continued behind Brady Hardewig, who connected on four three-pointers while shooting 57 percent from deep. It marked his fourth game this season with four made triples. Off the bench, Matija Žužić provided an immediate spark, going a perfect 3-for-3 from long range while adding four rebounds. Žužic's three triples marked a new season high.

In the interior, JaVar Daniel continued to impress in his second straight start. Daniel rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points, seven rebounds, and a blocked shot. He has now recorded at least one block in 13 of his last 15 games, climbing to ninth all-time in single-season blocks at UWG. Daniel currently leads the ASUN in blocks per game at 2.1, further showcasing his defensive presence in the paint.

Austin Peay enters the matchup following a win over EKU, where the Governors featured five double-digit scorers. Collin Parker led the way with 25 points and six rebounds while shooting over 60 percent from the field and 60 percent from three-point range. Parker is Austin Peay's leading scorer and ranks ninth in the ASUN at 15.1 points per game. He has proven capable of big performances, highlighted by a career-high 30-point outing against NIU in November.

Rashaud Marshall followed with 18 points on 75 percent shooting and a perfect performance at the free-throw line, while also contributing five rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. Marshall ranks fifth in the conference in rebounding at 6.5 per game and leads the ASUN in field goal percentage, shooting 65 percent from the floor.

Zyree Collins added 11 points, three rebounds, and six assists. Collins ranks fifth in the league in assists at four per game and leads the ASUN in steals, averaging 2.4 per contest. His playmaking ability has been shown by a career-high nine assist performance against ETSU. Off the bench, Anton Brookshire scored 13 points, with 11 coming at the free-throw line to mark a new season high. Tate McCubbin rounded out Austin Peay's double-figure scorers with 11 points and seven rebounds.

From a team standpoint, Austin Peay ranks fourth in the ASUN in scoring at 80 points per game, while earning the conference's top defense, allowing just 70 points per contest. The Governors also rank fourth in rebounding at 36.4 per game and lead the league in steals per game. West Georgia counters by ranking fourth in three-point percentage at 35 percent, fifth in rebounds per game at 36.1, and first in the ASUN in blocks per game.

The Wolves recently defeated the conference's previous number one team, Queens, at home and will look to repeat that feat in the Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. West Georgia leads the all-time series against Austin Peay 2-0 and aims to remain unbeaten against the Governors despite their early season success.
