Williams-Dryden Wins Back-to-Back ASUN Player of the Week Honors

CARROLLTON, Ga. - Forward Shelton Williams-Dryden added to his recent accolades, earning ASUN Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after being named the Lute Olson National Player of the Week earlier today.

Helping UWG open the ASUN action 2-0, Williams-Dryden recorded back-to-back double-doubles, highlighted by a career-high 32-point performance vs EKU. This brings his season double-double total to five and his career total to 11.

Over the course of the week, the forward averaged a league-best 30 points and 13.5 rebounds per contest while shooting a fourth-best 58 percent from the field. Remarkably, this averages out to 4.5 more points and 3.5 more rebounds than the next ASUN players during this stretch.

These honors mark the third time this season and the fourth time in his career that he won ASUN Player of the Week.

Williams-Dryden and the Wolves take on North Florida this Thursday (Jan. 8) in the first of four consecutive road games. The ASUN action will be streamed on ESPN+, with video links tagged on the team's schedule.
