VALDOSTA, Ga. - Round one of the 2026 ASUN Men's Golf Championships is in the books with the UWG Wolves shooting a 302 to sit in 12th place after 18 holes.
Thomas Romani led UWG's efforts on day one with a one-over 73 with two birdies, three, bogeys and 13 pars. Romani is in 26th place individually.
Two birdies on his last three holes got Milton Wallin in with an opening round 75 which is good for 42nd place. Similarly, Tyler Nesci birdied his 17th and 18th holes of the day after starting on number 10 to shoot 77. Max Winnersjo also shot 77 on Tuesday with two birdies. Nesci and Winnersjo are tied for 53rd place.
Luke Able got off to a rough start with a triple bogey on his opening hole, and finished with an 88 and sits in 60th.
North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast both shot 282 to open play and enjoy a two-stroke lead over North Alabama who opened with a 284.
The second round from Kinderlou Forest Golf Club is set for tomorrow morning in Valdosta.
