UWG Volleyball Announces First Wave of Signees

CARROLLTON, Ga.- West Georgia volleyball head coach Adam Milewski announced today the initial wave of commits in his first-ever class of signees at UWG. The opening round of commitments features four new Wolves, Giorgia Mandotti, Giovana Ribeiro, Milena Ćetković, and Anežka Ouredníková.

"We're extremely excited about this group joining our program at West Georgia," stated Milewski. "Each of them brings a unique combination of talent, competitiveness, and international experience that will raise the level of our gym immediately. Just as importantly, they are all high-character people who fit the culture we are building here at UWG."

Hailing from Milan, Italy, Mandotti is a 5-foot-7 libero and defensive specialist who spent her undergrad years competing at the University of Arizona. Over a four-year span, Mandotti played in 183 sets across 66 matches, totaling 152 digs, 33 assists, 30 points and 29 service aces. Prior to competing with UA, she achieved numerous accomplishments while playing in Italy. She won the Italian Women Serie B1 League in 2022, placed third in FIPAV national finals in 2021, was named honorable mention as Best Italian Libero in the 2021 FIPAV National Finals, was a three-time Province champion and a two-time regional champion.

"Giorgia Mandotti brings high level experience, ball control, and professionalism to our program. She has competed at a very high level and understands what it takes to win. Her leadership and defensive presence will make an immediate impact for us," said Milewski.

Mandotti isn't the only college transfer in the latest wave of recruits. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Ribeiro is a 6-foot outside hitter who has spent the last three seasons competing for The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. During this span, the outside hitter competed in 27 sets across 14 matches, totaling 43.5 points, 35 kills, 14 digs and 14 blocks. Prior to her time with UTRGV, Ribeiro was a standout for national and club teams in São Paulo. She was a call-up for the Under-18 São Paulo team in 2021 and 2022, competed in the champion silver series in 2022 and captured a runner-up finish in the highly competitive volleyball tournament, Taça Paraná, in 2022. She also helped her team earn a first-place finish in the U-15 Paulista State Championship in 2019, a third-place finish in the U-16 Brazilian National Team Championship in 2019, a fourth-place finish in the Brazilian National Team Championship in 2020, and a third-place finish in the U-16 Youth School Games for Colégio Amorim in 2019.

"Giovana Ribeiro is a physical attacker with great size and versatility on the court. She has the ability to impact the match in multiple ways and still has a lot of upside in her game. We're excited about her potential and the energy she will bring to our program," Milewski said about Ribeiro.

Making her way from Montenegro, Ćetković is a 6-foot-1 middle blocker who has gained valuable playing experience competing overseas. Since 2020, she has competed for Clube Kairós (2025-26), OK Buducnost (2021-25) and ŽOK Buducnost (2020-21). During this span, she won the 2025 Montenegrin Championship Title, was voted Best Player of the Junior Championships in 2025 and Best Middle Blocker in 2023 (Younger Selection). One of her strongest performances was when she scored 13 points in a highly competitive CEV Cup in 2025.

"Milena Ćetković is an explosive middle blocker with a strong competitive mentality and a tremendous work ethic. She plays with energy, physicality, and confidence, and we believe she has the potential to develop into a dominant player in our conference," stated Milewski.

The final pickup in the latest wave of recruits is Ouredníková, a 5-foot-5 setter originally from the Czech Republic. Over the past few seasons, Ouredníková has been competing for TJ Tatran Strešovice (2025-26) and VK Hronov (2024-25). Next season will mark Ouredníková's freshman year.

"Anežka Ouredníková is a dynamic and versatile player who brings a high volleyball IQ and a complete skill set to our roster. She competes hard, plays with great balance on both sides of the ball, and fits exactly what we want our program to look like moving forward," Milewski described his newest setter.

These four Wolves mark the first UWG signees of the Milewski era.
