Wolves Release 2026 Volleyball Schedule

6/17/2026 9:00:00 AM

CARROLLTON, Ga.- The University of West Georgia Athletics Department announced Wednesday morning the Wolves' 2026 volleyball schedule. This year's campaign marks the program's first season competing in the United Athletic Conference (UAC) and the first under the direction of head coach Adam Milewski.

"We're excited to bring this team together and begin competing. We have a talented group of student athletes and a great mix of new and returning players," stated Milewski. "Moving into the UAC will present a tremendous challenge, and our non-conference schedule will test us from the very beginning. I'm excited to see this group grow together and compete throughout the season."

After not hosting any non-conference matches in 2025, UWG opens the year taking on Northwestern State, Grambling and Presbyterian in a two-day tournament in The Coliseum on August 28 and 29.

The Pack will then take a week to prepare for a road trip to Kennesaw to face Alabama A&M and Kennesaw State on September 4, before heading into downtown Atlanta to take on Georgia State the following day.

Coming off the Atlanta road swing, UWG returns home to host Gardner-Webb, New Orleans and Mercer on September 11 and 12 in the Pack's second home tournament of the season. This will mark the first time that the program has hosted two tournaments in the same season since elevating to Division I.

Non-conference play will end the following weekend with the Wolves clashing against UT Martin and Arkansas Pine Bluff in Tennessee on September 18 and 19.

The Wolves' first-ever UAC schedule sees the Pack go back and forth between home and road matches.

At home, West Georgia takes on Abilene Christian on September 26, North Alabama on September 29, Central Arkansas on October 1, Eastern Kentucky on October 15, UT Arlington on October 17, Austin Peay on October 29, Tarleton State on October 31 and then Little Rock to close out the regular season on November 12.

The Wolves' road UAC slate features UT Arlington to open conference play on September 24, followed by Little Rock on October 8, UCA on October 10, Tarleton State on October 22, Abilene Christian on October 24, EKU on November 5, Austin Peay on November 7 and North Alabama on November 10.

As some may have noticed, several of the teams in the UAC are familiar foes from the Atlantic Sun Conference. The only UAC opponents the Wolves have yet to face in volleyball are Abilene Christian, Tarleton State, UT Arlington and Little Rock.

With the Little Rock match marking the end of the regular season, UWG will then have the opportunity to compete in the UAC Tournament for the first time in program history. The matches are set to take place November 18-21 at a neutral site location. More information on the tournament is expected to be released in the coming months.
