CARROLLTON, Ga.- University of West Georgia Head Volleyball Coach Adam Milewski announced Friday morning that the Wolves signed seven more players to compete for the Pack, officially rounding out Milewski's first class at UWG.

This wave of recruits features four college transfer students, Eva Eržen, Devin Hicks, Courtney Joseph and Cassie Thayse, and three high school signees, Adriana Medrano, Zeynep Ipek and Linett Baranyi.
Making her way from Kranj, Slovenia, Eržen is a 6-foot-3 outside hitter who spent her freshman season competing for California State Bakersfield. With the Roadrunners, Eržen totaled 93 sets played across 27 matches. She completed her freshman season recording 114 kills, 102 digs, 25 service aces and 10 assists. Before moving to the United States, the outside hitter spent nine years playing for ZOK Triglav Kranj Volleyball Club in Slovenia and in 2023, she helped lead Slovenia's U19 National Team to a gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival. 

Another signee who played in The Golden State her freshman year is 5-foot-8 setter Hicks. In her rookie season, the California native competed in 34 sets through her 13 appearances at California State Fullerton. In this stretch, Hicks totaled 116 assists, 44 digs, 13 service aces and one kill. Prior to joining the Titans, Hicks prepped at Chaparral High School, where she played on the varsity team all four years and capped off her career serving as the team captain. Before her time in high school was said and done, Hicks placed first at Nationals with her club team, took first place in the Steel Town Tournament and earned second in Queen of the Court.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Joseph is a 6-foot middle blocker who spent the past two seasons competing for Auburn University at Montgomery. Over the past two seasons, the Georgia native played in a combined 191 sets across 54 matches, which equates to an impressive 95 percent of AUM's matches in this span. She finished her time at AUM recording 222 points, 145 kills, 112 blocks, 61 digs, 20 assists and nine service aces. Joseph also boasts that she has ranked second in blocks for AUM in back-to-back seasons. Prior to college, Joseph prepped at Richmond Hill High School, where she won two consecutive region championships and helped her team reach the GHSA Elite Eight in 2024. She also earned Second Team All-Region during her junior and senior seasons.

Opening her career competing for the Georgia State beach team for two seasons, Thayse spent the next two years playing for the College of Charleston beach team. With the Cougars, the 5-foot-10 opposite hitter earned a combined 13 wins, bolstered by a team-best 12-15 record in 2025. She also won the Sun Belt Championship in 2025 over her former team. With the GSU Panthers, the New York native earned one win and contributed to two consecutive Sun Belt Conference Championship victories. Prior to college, Thayse prepped at Penfield High School, playing all four years on the volleyball team. She wrapped up her high school career earning AVCA High School All-American honors in 2021, was a two-time AVCA Phenom in 2019 and 2020, and she earned New York State Section 5 All-Star honors in 2020 and 2021.

The group's lone American high school signee, Medrano, makes her way from Miami, Florida. Prepping at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, the 5-foot-3 defensive specialist finished her illustrious career winning back-to-back 6A Florida State Championships in 2023 and 2024, captured both district and regional championships in 2025 and earned AVCA All-Region honors in 2025. In her three seasons competing on the varsity team, St. Thomas Aquinas posted a remarkable 76-15 overall record. Medrano also played for Tribe Volleyball Club when she wasn't competing for the high school. 

Hailing from Ankara, Turkiye, Ipek is a 6-foot-1 outside hitter who has been prepping in the Eastern European and Western Asian volleyball circuits. Since the fall of 2021, Ipek has earned two gold, two silver and three bronze medals across seven U16 and U18 tournaments in Turkey. During this stretch, she competed for Ilbank U16, Karayollari Spor Kulübü U16 and U18, TED Ankara Kolejliler II and TED Ankara Kolejliler U18.

Making her way from Dunakeszi, Hungary, Baranyi is a 6-foot-2 middle blocker who has been prepping in the European volleyball circuit. Baranyi competed for club VSD A from 2021-24 before joining BVSC-Zugló, where she has played for the past two seasons. During this span, she also competed for the Csapat U17 team.

These seven Wolves join Giorgia Mandotti, Giovana Ribeiro, Milena Ćetković, and Anežka Ouredníková as the second wave of signees in the Milewski era.
