McCall Named UAC Freshman of the Week

CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Georgia volleyball's outside hitter Brooke McCall was named United Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week following a standout showing at the UWG Volleyball Classic.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native tallied a team-high 44 points fueled from 40 kills, three aces and a block at this past weekend's home tournament. McCall is the first Wolf in program history to earn All-UAC weekly honors.

She currently ranks second in the UAC in points (124.5) and fourth in kills (117) this season.

McCall and the Wolves hit the road to take on the Skyhawk Classic hosted by UT Martin this Friday and Saturday (Sept. 18-19). McCall enters the weekend riding an eight-match streak in which she has tallied 10 or more points. A full tournament preview and game notes will be available soon.
