Carrollton, GA - The 2013 UWG athletic season kicks off this week, and the second contest of the year for the Wolves will fall on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at The Coliseum, as the West Georgia volleyball squad takes on the King Tornado at the 2013 UWG Invitational.

This year's event will begin with a match between Malone University out of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference taking on West Alabama from the Gulf South Conference at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 6. The closing match will be between host West Georgia out of the GSC and Georgia College from the Peach Belt Conference at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7.

All matches at the 2013 UWG Invitational will take place at The Coliseum, one of the newest venues on the campus of the University of West Georgia. Enttering its sixth year of operation, this will be the third such tournament to take place on the floor at The Coliseum. That includes the first matches ever at the venue, which came at the 2009 UWG Invitational.

Admission to UWG Volleyball matches in the 2013 season will be $5 per person, with seating to be available in the North and West stands throughout the event. Concessions will be available on the concourse. All UWG matches will be broadcast live via The WOLF Internet Radio and via streaming video.
