The Wolves are coming off of a tough match in Pensacola, Fla., on Tuesday evening, when UWG fell victim to nationally-ranked West Florida at the UWF Field House. The Wolves put up a fight, taking the second set from the defending GSC champions, but the Argonauts picked up the pace and raced to a 3-1 victory.

It was just the third loss of the season for head coach Gary Lee's squad, as the Wolves come into the weekend with a 7-3 overall record. Despite the loss, UWG is still the top hitting team in the league, sporting a .237 team hitting percentage on the season. West Georgia also leads the GSC in assists, kills and digs per set on the year.

Setter #Amanda Miller# continues her hot streak in dishing out assists this season, as her 10.76 assists per set is more than 1.5 assists per set more than any other setter in the GSC. That number also has her at 18th in the nation in the same category. In kills per set, outside hitter #Emily Reul# is currently second in the conference with 3.68 kills per set, which places her just outside the top-50 in the nation.

Libero #Melissa Holt# is still the only GSC player to average more than five digs per set this season, bringing in 5.10 per set. She is one of 40 liberos nationwide that can claim that distinction and is currently 36th nationally in the digs per set category.

Lee comes into the weekend with a 5-2 record and are coming off of a huge 3-2 victory over West Florida last weekend. The Flames have five players averaging at least two kills per set on the year, led by middle blocker Paula Martins, who averages 3.88 kills per set on the year.

The Wolves and Flames will open tomorrow's match at 2:00 p.m. in The Coliseum.
