UWG to face MC and UWA at home

Carrollton, GA- UWG is back at home this week facing West Alabama and Mississippi College after a tough weekend on the road at UWF and VSU. The Wolves will face the Tigers Thursday night at 7 p.m. and the Choctaws at 7 p.m. on Friday night.

West Alabama is currently ranked 8th in the GSC with a 6-8 conference record. Junior outside hitter Briana Sandifer leads the conference with 384 kills and 3.92 kills per set. Senior setter Callie Murphy runs a 5-1 offense for the Tigers and is ranked 3rd in the GSC with 935 assists and 9.84 assists per set. Alexis Meeks leads the Tigers in her first year as Head Coach at UWA. UWG lost to UWA in a 3-0 sweep at their place early in the season.

Mississippi College ranks 10th in the conference with a 1-12 GSC record. Head Coach Julie Redus leads the Choctaws in her first year at MC. Sophomore right side hitter Jenna Campbell leads the Choctaw offense with 198 kills and 2.48 kills per set. Mississippi College runs a 6-2 offense with Bailee Berringer and Sydney Chandler, each with 375 and 331 assists respectively. Mississipi College won the first match up against the Wolves in Mississippi in 3 straight sets.
