Carrollton, GA - For the first time in 16 days, the West Georgia Wolves competed on the court at The Coliseum, taking on the West Alabama Tigers in Gulf South Conference action Thursday evening. The two teams split the first two sets, but West Alabama powered past UWG in the final two sets for a 3-1 win.

The first set opened with both teams playing neck-and-neck for the first 22 points of the match, as the Wolves and Tigers were knotted at 11-11. UWG jumped out to a 15-9 lead early in the set, then hit .219 through the game to tie the match up a 1-1. Lindsey Thomas was perfect in the set with three kills in three attempts and no errors.

Berriochoa was again the standout for the Wolves in the third set with five more kills, but the Wolves as a team held the lead for just a brief moment early in the set as West Alabama took the frame by a 25-16 score. The Wolves had 14 kills in the fourth set, but with just two errors to West Georgia's 10, the Tigers were able to take the final set of the match by a 25-17 score to win 3-1.
