Wolves continue GSC play at home

Carrollton, GA- After winning their first conference match on Friday night against Lee University, the Wolves will continue GSC play this weekend with two more home matches. UWG is set to play Christian Brothers on Friday night at 7 p.m. and Union University on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Christian Brothers is currently ranked 5th in the conference with a 4-4 GSC record. Coach In-Sik Hwang leads the Bucs in his 14th season as head coach. Freshman Emma Lenoir leads the CBU offense on the outside with 190 kills and 3.73 kills per set. She is currently ranked 3rd in the conference for kills. Sophomore libero Blythe Clausen leads the Buccaneer defense with 195 digs and 3.82 digs per set. Senior setter Jessica Reber runs a 5-1 offense and is ranked 5th in the conference for assists, tallying 450 total assists and 8.82 assists per set.

Union currently has a 2-5 conference record after beating nationally ranked West Florida over the weekend in four sets. The Bulldogs are led by Darrin McClure in his 2nd season as Head Coach. Union is led by a pair of freshmen this season on both sides of the ball. Freshman outside hitter Katie O'Malley leads the Bulldog offense with 100 kills and 2.33 kills per set. Freshman libero Audrey Cagle leads defensively with an impressive 3.73 digs per set. The Bulldogs also run a 5-1 offense with senior setter Hannah Huguley. She is ranked 6th in the conference with 405 assists and 7.64 assists per set.
