Carrollton, GA- West Georgia Volleyball fell 3-1 in a very tight match against Valdosta State this morning at the Coliseum. The Wolves swept the Blazers in set one with a set score of 25-13. This was the strongest match for the Wolves, with
Katie Hanson going on a 13 point serving run. The Wolves struggled at the beginning of set two, but rallied back to make it a tight match. The Blazers took set two with a final score of 28-26, and continued to take sets 3 and 4 with scores of 25-15 and 25-21 respectively

Trina Braden decided to run a 5-1 offense with freshman
Madi Fleming for all 4 sets. She tallied 41 assists and 12 digs on the match.
Katie Hanson led the Wolves offensively with 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .290. Freshman
Autumn Burnette also added 11 kills.
The Blazers played a better game overall with a .248 hitting percentage and 51 total kills. Senior Susanna Peonia and junior Tristyn Sells led for Valdosta with 14 kills each. Antia Rodriguez-Sanchez also added 13 kills. Libero Natalia Campos tallied 18 digs for the Blazer defense.
The Wolves next action comes September 22 as they take on West Alabama on the road to continue GSC play. Live stats and live video will be available.
