Carrollton, GA- After falling 3-0 to the Lions of North Alabama last night, the Wolves have a one day break before taking on two more conference teams this week. Tomorrow night UWG will travel to Shorter University to play at 6 p.m. They will continue play at home on Friday night against Lee University at 7 p.m.
Shorter currently has an 11-1 overall record and a 6-1 GSC record. Their one conference loss was to West Florida who is currently ranked #23 in the country. The Hawks return 15 players from the 2015 season, including senior outside hitter Elizabeth Dowd. She has produced 141 kills this season, averaging 3.28 kills per set. Lee University is 4-6 overall and 1-4 in conference. Head Coach Andrea Hudson returns 10 players from the 2015 season. Sophomore Silvia Sartori leads the Flames offensively with 119 kills and 3.22 kills per set. Lee runs a 6-2 offense with setters Sadie Johnson and Kristi Farley, who have tallied 221 and 177 assists respectively.
