• West Georgia comes into the Saturday's contest with a 2-6 record on the year. The Wolves have wins over Benedict and Morehouse thus far on the year, but have struggled late in games in the last four contests. West Georgia has held a double-digit lead in three of those four, but failed to hold the lead and are 1-3 in that span.

Kovi Tate has been a solid leader for the Wolves in the paint through the first five games. Tate is third in the Gulf South Conference in scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game, and he is sixth in rebounding with 9.1 boards per contest. He has four double-doubles on the year, including 19 points and 10 rebounds against Columbus State last weekend.
• The Wolves will look to a pair of scorers in the backcourt to lead the way this weekend with juniors Oronte' Anderson and
Kadeim Jones. Anderson is averaging 13.1 points and 5.4 assists per game on the year and scored 25 against Queens. Jones is second for the Wolves in scoring with 18.0 points per game this season.
• Anderson's 5.4 assists per game are good for second in the Gulf South Conference this season. The junior has had at least nine assists twice this season, including most recently against Columbus State on the road this past weekend. He also has a game with seven assists and another with five assists to add to his average.
SCORING LEADERS
• Four players come into this weekend's matchup averaging double-digits on the year, led by juniors

• Jones has been consistently good through the early portion of the season, scoring at least 20 points in five games with an average of 18.1 points per game.

Kovi Tate is third in the Gulf South Conference in scoring this season, averaging 19.0 points per game. He has four double-doubles on the year, including a 19-point, 10-rebound effort against Columbus State this past weekend.
• North Georgia has three double-figure scorers on the season, led by Zez Steeple, who is averaging 13.6 points per game. The senior guard is solid from three-point range, hitting 15-of-36 on the season thus far. He and Josh Cottrell will force the Wolves to guard the perimeter, as each player hits from beyond the arc at a better than 40 percent clip this season.
AROUND THE HORN LEADERS
• Jones, Tate, and Oronte' Anderson are the only players who are averaging more than 30 minutes per game through the first five contests. Jones leads the way with 37 minutes per game.
• Tate is the third-leading scorer in the Gulf South Conference this season, coming into the weekend averaging 19.0 points per game on the year. He is second in the conference in shooting percentage, hitting buckets at a 63 percent clip.

Seth Brown-Carter has been a solid scorer through the first eight games, averaging 12.5 points per game in that span. He has had double-figures in six of the eight games with a season-high of 19 points on November 23 at Alabama Huntsville. Brown-Carter is extremely accurate, hitting 15-of-16 from the free-throw line this season.
• Anderson has had two big scoring games, putting up 19 against Embry-Riddle in the opener, then scoring 25 against Queens two weeks ago. He is second in the Gulf South Conference in assists, averaging 5.4 assists per game on the year after his second nine-assist game this past weekend at Columbus State.
Double-Doubles in 2019-20
• Junior forward
Kovi Tate has had four of the Wolves' six double-doubles of the first eight games, including a team-high 27 points and 16 rebounds against Palm Beach Atlantic on November 9. He had another double-double against Benedict with 26 points and 10 rebounds and then again against Queens with 16 points and 12 boards. His most recent double-double was against Columbus State, where he had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Kadeim Jones has other two double-doubles of the year, picking up those in the loss to Clayton State and a loss to Alabama Huntsville, as he had 10 rebounds both games, scoring 21 against Clayton State and 15 against UAH
• The Wolves have had three close calls on double-doubles this season, with Oronte' Anderson pouring in 19 points and nine assists against Palm Beach Atlantic and Tate with 17 points and eight rebounds against Clayton State. Anderson also had 13 points and nine assists against Columbus State this past weekend.
Matchups to watch
• West Georgia's ability to guard on the perimeter will be a huge key in this one, as the Wolves match up well with Steeple and Cottrell. UNG hits at a .370 pace from beyond the arc this season while the Wolves shoot at a 30 percent clip.

Kovi Tate against Carrod Watson will be a solid matchup of big men underneath. Tate averages nearly a double-double while Watson poured in 13 points and nine rebounds against Morehouse.
