HARTWELL, Ga. – The UWG men's golf team finished in 17
th place at the Cateechee Fall Invitational on Tuesday, completing a 300 in round two, and shooting 286 in the final round.
Teams had to complete the second round this morning before teeing off in today's scheduled final round. The team title was captured by North Georgia, winning by 16 strokes.
For the Wolves,
Landry Short shot a 76 in round two and came back with his best of the tournament in the final round with a 68. He finished tied for 28
th individually.
It was another solid start for
Pablo Illescas who shot a 71 on Tuesday to finish tied for 42
nd.
Oliwer Persson Toiminen wrapped up the event with a 73 on Tuesday and tied for 72
nd.
Brooks Gineris shot 75 on Tuesday and tied for 86
th while
Ethan Kolisz finished in 95
th, but finished with his best round of the week, firing a final round 74.
The UWG men now have a bit of a break before returning to action on October 16-17 at the Hurricane Invitational in Albany.
