CARROLLTON, Ga. – A total of nine players earned postseason football honors from the Gulf South Conference as announced by the league on Thursday.
Six players earned First Team All-Conference honors, two players landed on the Second Team, and
Cameran Brown was named the GSC Offensive Freshman of the Year.
Of the six first team selections, three were on offense, highlighted by now three-time All-Conference selection
David Bodden. The Hoover, Alabama native earned the nod at center to become a three-time All-GSC selection.
Terrill Cole became a two-time All-GSC selection at wide receiver and finishes his career fourth all-time in UWG history with 1,697 receiving yards and 120 receptions.
Rajaez Mosley, who is sixth in the country in yards per carry, was also selected at First Team running back.
Brown became UWG's first GSC Freshman of the Year since 2010 by being tabbed as the league's top offensive freshman. In his first season of collegiate football, the quarterback threw for 914 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 478 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.
The West Georgia defense had two First Team selections in their top tackler
Xavier Robinson as well as a now three-time All-Conference pick in
Deontae Overstreet. Robinson led the Wolves' defense with 62 tackles while Overstreet had 61 in his senior season.
UWG's special teams also landed a First Team selection as wide receiver Javen West earned the Special Teams Utility spot, making five tackles on special teams this season.
On the Second Team, UWG had one offensive selection in offensive lineman
Marvin James who was a selection at tackle.
On defense,
Keondre Williams earned a second team selection making 61 tackles including 10.0 tackles for loss and five sacks as a junior in 2023.
West Georgia has now had at least eight All-GSC selections in each of the past three seasons and conclude their tenure in one of the strongest Division II football conferences with 287 All-GSC selections.
