CARROLLTON, Ga. – Twenty-five representatives of the University of West Georgia Department of Athletics will receive their degrees at UWG's Commencement on Saturday, December 9.
Of those 25 degrees awarded, 16 are undergraduate degrees going to student-athletes while two student-athletes earned their Master's degrees. The remaining seven are graduate assistants completing their Master's degrees.
Eight of UWG's 16 NCAA-sponsored sports had a student-athlete represented in the graduating class.
Undergraduates and first time postgraduate students were awarded their white UWG Athletics branded stoles to be worn at Commencement while those earning a second degree from UWG were awarded cords at a Graduation Reception on Friday night in the Stadium Suites at Ra-Lin Field.
