CARROLLTON, Ga. - Friday and Saturday feature four Commencement ceremonies at the University of West Georgia and the UWG Department of Athletics celebrates its 27 graduates who are set to walk the stage this weekend.
Six programs, football, softball, volleyball, soccer, women's track and field, and cheerleading, plus members of the administrative and support staff are represented at Winter Commencement.
Of the 27, 16 are former student-athletes while the remaining 11 represent various staff categories from coaching, operations, sports information, business, and sports medicine.
On Thursday, December 11, UWG Athletics held their bi-annual Graduation Reception, honoring these graduates and presenting them with their UWG Student-Athlete stole. Those with a 3.80 GPA or above also earned a graphite and gold ASUN Honor Graduate cord.
