TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The UWG women's cross country team competed in the Florida State Cross Country Invitational at Apalachee Park on Friday Morning in Tallahassee, finishing ninth.
It was a good showing for the Wolves, as they ran against a strong field of 16 teams that included a pair of Power Four programs. Three runners were able to accomplish their season best, as well as three Freshman being able to break the 27 minute barrier helping the team average to 26:24.
For the third consecutive race this season, and as she has done every race of her career,
Kristal McQueen was the first of the Wolves to cross the finish line placing 49th with a time of 18:50.08.
Next for the Wolves was
Catherine Greer in 56th with a time of 19:20.07.
Kathrin Maurer finished with a time of 19:57.00, while
Laney Pierce finished with a time of 21:07.08. Right behind Pierce was
Brooklyn Crabtree with a time of 21:09.06.
Madeline Gaskins finished with a time of 21:10.09, while
Jordan Jarnot had a time of 22:08.08.Â
Stephanie Beltran was the last of the Wolves to cross the finish line finishing with a time of 22:25.05
West Georgia will be back in action next Saturday as they will head up to Spartanburg, SC for the USC Upstate Cross Country Invitational.
