OXFORD, Ala.- The West Georgia Wolves competed in the 2025 Foothills Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State in Oxford, Alabama, at Chocolocco Park, where they faced off against some of the region's top teams. 

The meet hosted a wide variety of competition, with schools from major conferences, including Auburn (SEC), Jacksonville State (ASUN), UAB (CUSA), Samford (SoCon), and others. Despite the competition, the Wolves held their ground, earning a 7th-place finish with a team score of 202 points, beating 14 schools at the invitational.

Leading the charge for West Georgia was junior Kristal McQueen, who completed the race in 19:07.26, finishing 31st overall. McQueen looks to build on her successful campaign from last season. Not far behind, junior Reatta Danhoff posted an impressive time of 19:17.41, securing the 35th spot. As a recent transfer from Pima College, Danhoff is already making an immediate impact in her debut season as a Wolf. Kathrin Maurer rounded out the top three, posting a time of 19:37.26, finishing in 47th place and starting her senior year strong. 

Transfer Linda Rivero, also from Pima College, made her debut for the Wolves with a solid performance, finishing 61st with a time of 20:13.93. True freshman Camille Moses also made her debut, clocking in at 22:50, as this marks just the beginning of a promising collegiate career. Their performances were essential to the Wolves' success, as they managed to edge out UT Southern by just a few points in a highly competitive meet. 

The Wolves will use this race to improve and build momentum for the rest of the season. With the Southern Showcase Invitational on the horizon, set for September 12th at 8 a.m. at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama, the Wolves are prepared to make a statement at their next race.
