SPARTANBURG, SC- The UWG women's cross country team competed in the USC Upstate Invitational at Milliken Research Center on Saturday morning.
Amongst 19 teams including 10 Division I opponents, West Georgia placed 12th. It was a good day for the Wolves as multiple runners set their personal records for this morning's meet.
For the fourth consecutive race, Kristal McQueen was the first of the Wolves to cross the finish line placing 20th with a time of 18:28.03.
Next for the Wolves was Catherine Greer in 62nd with a time of 19:17.05. Kathrin Maurer finished with a time of 19:21.00, while Brooklyn Crabtree finished with a time of 20:36.00. Laney Pierce finished with a time of 20:42.08, and Madeline Gaskins was next with a time of 20:58.00.
Stephanie Beltran and Jordan Jarnot both crossed the finish line consecutively with Beltran crossing the line at 21:46.03, and Jarnot crossing at 21:46.09.
West Georgia will be back in action in a couple of weeks, as they prepare for the ASUN Conference Championship Meet in DeBarry, FL.
