CARROLLTON, Ga. - Head women's basketball coach Joanna Reitz has inked an in-state guard to her Signing Class of 2025, announcing today the signing of Parris Parham.
Parham, a native of Hinesville, Georgia, is prepping for her senior season at Bradwell Institute in 2024-25 and is currently the second-ranked small forward in the state of Georgia for the class of 2025 by Sandy's Spiel.
"We are thrilled to add Parris to our roster, as she fits the profile of the student-athletes we recruit here: talented basketball player, great teammate, and fierce competitor," said Reitz. "She is a three-level scorer and her ability to shoot the three as a big guard really sets her apart."
The 5-10 guard averaged 19.1 points per game with nine rebounds per game as a junior, earning All-State honors as well as being named the Region 1-AAAAA Player of the Year in 2023-24.
"From the first time I met the coaching staff, I've felt so much support," said Parham. "They've made me feel welcomed and confident I can succeed even though I'll be far from home and my family."
Parham also averaged 2.2 assists and 2.3 steals per game last season and made 54 three-pointers on her way to being selected as a GACA All-Star. She already has 1,000 points in her career heading into her senior season.
"With both her high school and club team, she's needed to defense all five positions on the court so we love that defensive versatility that she brings along with her strength as a rebounder," Reitz added, "We look for Parris to contribute immediately as a freshman."
Parham plans to major in sport management at UWG and enroll ahead of next basketball season. She is the first signee in the Wolves' 2025 Signing Class.
