CARROLLTON, Ga. - The University of West Georgia women's basketball program announced today the entire 2025-26 season, their second in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
"We can't wait to play. Our players have worked so hard in the off-season to improve their games both individually and collectively and the sky's the limit for this team," said head coach Joanna Reitz. "They are a tough resilient group that loves to compete and I know Wolves fans are going to love watching this team!"
The Wolves' ASUN schedule features 18 games, but before that kicks off in January, the Wolves play an 11-game non-conference schedule that begins with a cross-country road trip on November 3 to take on the Oregon Ducks in Eugene.
November 8 brings West Georgia home for the first time in the 2025-26 campaign as the Wolves host Gardner-Webb in a Saturday showdown. The Wolves play a second-straight home game on November 13 hosting Alabama State.
Another Power Four opponent awaits in the fourth game of the season with the Wolves making the trip to the city, taking on Georgia Tech for the second consecutive season.
UWG is then home for two more games back-to-back, hosting Western Carolina on November 25 and UNC Wilmington on Wednesday, December 3. Tip-time for the UNCW game will be 11 a.m. with local elementary schools invited to attend.
Two Sunday road games then await the Wolves as they travel to Orangeburg, South Carolina to take on South Carolina State on December 7 before taking on the Florida Gators on December 14 in Gainesville.
UWG then wraps up non-conference play with a December 17 home game against Wesleyan, followed by a trip to Florida A&M on December 21. The fin
al non-conference game and the final game of the 2025 calendar year is set for December 28 against Brewton-Parker.
ASUN play wastes no time in getting started after the turn of the calendar as the Wolves travel to EKU for a New Year's Day game in Richmond, Kentucky before taking on Bellarmine on the road two days later.
Next up is a four-game homestand, with their conference home opener set for January 8 against North Florida before visits from FGCU and Stetson the following week.
After a midweek trip to Central Arkansas on January 21, the Wolves close out the month of January with home games against Queens, EKU, and Bellarmine.
The Wolves will then play six of their final eight regular season games on the road, beginning with a trip to Jacksonville and North Florida on February 5 and 7 before hosting North Alabama at The Coliseum on February 11.
Then it's back to the road against Austin Peay and Lipscomb before the final regular season home game against Central Arkansas on February 21. UWG closes out the season with a week that features a Tuesday trip to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on Queens on February 24 and a trip to North Alabama on Friday, February 27.
"The ASUN is a great conference with veteran coaches & talented players and we feel we've put together a good non-conference schedule that will prepare us well for conference play," added Reitz.
The ASUN Tournament is set to begin March 3 in Jacksonville, Florida. This season, all 12 teams in the ASUN will make the conference tournament.
