CARROLLTON, Ga. - After shut out performances against number one ranked Tampa and West Alabama this past week, UWG's
Seth Dudley was named the GSC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
Dudley wins his first GSC weekly award of his young West Georgia career after putting together a line of 6.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, and 11 SO in two games against the Spartans and the Tigers. Dudley pitched two innings against Tampa, who arguably has the best lineup in the country, and threw two shut out innings while striking out three batters. In Game Two against West Alabama on Saturday, the junior struck out a career-high eight batters, propelling UWG to a 5-0 win.
The right hander now leads West Georgia in wins with three as the Wolves prepare for a weekend series against Delta State, beginning on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
