CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of West Georgia Department of Athletics has announced the addition of Danny Talbert to their Athletics Communications staff. 

Talbert, who comes to UWG after spending the last 16 months as the Sports Information Director at nearby LaGrange College, will handle the communication efforts of the Wolves' volleyball, men's basketball, and baseball programs as well as other day-to-day duties in the department. 

"We are excited to add Danny to our team as we continue to grow and learn the Division I landscape in our industry," said UWG Sports Information Director, Jared Boggus. "He has a bright future ahead as a communicator and we're thrilled to be a part of his journey." 

A native of Charlottesville, Virginia, Talbert was at the forefront of LaGrange College's 16-sport Department of Athletics where he handled all aspects of the department's communications efforts. 

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the pack during these exciting times at West Georgia," said Talbert. "I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the department and UWG." 

Talbert holds a Bachelor's of Arts in English Degree from James Madison University.
