CULLOWHEE, N.C. - A solid showing from UWG's 4x100m relay team was the highlight of the final day of the Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina.
RELAYS
The 4x100m relay team consisting of
Jonathan Meadows, Vaughn Dickenson,
Kasahn Rivers, and
Gavin Barlow ran a top-100 time in Division I, completing the race in 40.51. It was also a season-best for the Wolves and just two-hundredths of a second off of UWG's program record in the event, set in 1982.
JUMPS AND VAULT
Godsfavor Adenuga continued his solid weekend by making the finals of the triple jump, jumping 13.21m and finishing eighth.
Richard Griffin finished 11
th, hitting 11.93m in his first attempt.
In the high jump, Godsavor Adenuga's 1.92m jump earned him second,
Isaiah McMichael placed third with a mark of 1.92,
William Shawley placed 12th on his 1.72m mark,
Corey Rooks and
Kellen Andrews tied for 13th on jumps of 1.72 and
Conner Changizi placed 16th with a jump of 1.67m.
SPRINTS AND HURDLES
In the 110m hurdles,
Ishmeal Neblett finished fourth as the only UWG runner to make the finals. Neblett's time was 15.19.
Kasahn Rivers took third in the 400m dash, completing the single-lap race in 48.85.
In the finals of the 100m,
Gavin Barlow was UWG's lone representative with the freshman finishing third in 10.44.
THROWS
Of the 55 runners in the 800m, three Wolves were in the top half, led by Abenzer Woellore who finished in 1:44.12 to place seventh.
Solomon Johnson,
Evan Beasley, and
Noah Anderson then finished 25
th, 26th, and 27th.

Today's meet marks the last of the 2025 regular season. The Wolves head to Jacksonville to compete in the ASUN Outdoor Championship next month (May 15-17).
