JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The final non-conference game of the 2025 season did not go the way of the Wolf on Tuesday night as the UWG softball team fell 22-1 to Jacksonville State on the road.

It was all Jacksonville State as the Gamecocks scored two in the first and then 12 in the second, combining for 11 hits in the two frames to stake an big advantage through just two innings.

West Georgia would get their first hit of the game in the third, as Addison Sturdivant and Megan Waites each singled, but the Wolves didn't get on the second until Blaire Bizette singled and later scored on a wild pitch.

Meanwhile, the Gamecocks' offense continued to put runners on and drive them in, adding five in the third and three in the fourth before the game ended after the top half of the fifth.

UWG had just four hits in the game as three JSU pitchers saw action in the circle. The Gamecocks had 17 hits in the game and drew nine walks from UWG's pitching staff.

The Wolves are back on the road on Friday and Saturday to wrap up the season against the Stetson Hatters in DeLand, Florida.
