Women's Golf Announces 2025-26 Schedule

7/14/2025 3:59:00 PM

CARROLLTON, Ga. - Year two of the Division I era of University of West Georgia women's golf is set for a late August start, and head coach Will Snodgrass released his complete 2025-26 schedule today.

Snodgrass, beginning his second season at the helm of the program, and the Wolves open the fall slate with a one-day event at the Walker Course in Clemson, South Carolina on August 25.

From there, the Wolves' next action is Murray State's tournament, the Velvet, held at the Country Club of Paducah in Kentucky. That tournament, the second of six fall events for the Wolves is set for September 15-16.

The Wolves are also set to compete in the Pirate Collegiate Classic hosted by ECU on October 6-7, the Lady Red Wolves Classic in Jonesboro, Arkansas on October 13-14, and Southern Mississippi's tournament on October 27-28 before wrapping up the fall in Georgia at the Mercer Invitational in Forsyth on November 2-3.

"We have put together a very competitive schedule for fall.  Getting an invite to play at Clemson's season opener shows we are program trending in the right direction, I'm also thrilled to be talking the team to compete in a tournament hosted by my alma mater, Murray State," said Snodgrass. "One of our primary goals this season is to find greater consistency, which will ultimately lead to lowering our tournament scoring average. With six tournaments to compete in this fall, we will have many opportunities to show we are a team on the rise!"

UWG's back half of the schedule begins in February as the Wolves travel to Stetson's, Babs Steffens Invitational on February 23-24.

On March 8-10, UWG competes in a nearby event, making the short trek to the Robert Trent Jones Silver Lakes course just outside of Gadsen, Alabama for Jax State's home event. The next week, the Wolves are on another RTJ course in Mobile, Alabama for The Magnolia Collegiate hosted by South Alabama.

The Wolves will be in Georgia for the final two tournaments ahead of the Atlantic Sun Championship, playing in Kennesaw State's event in Acworth on March 23-24 and Georgia State's event in Johns Creek on March 30-31.

"As we prepare for the ASUN Conference Championship, two new events will take us to some fabulous golf courses, with excellent fields to compete against," Snodgrass said. "I've been very selective of tournaments for the season, with the mindset of competing in tournaments where if we play well, we can be very competitive and put ourselves in a position to win, but also entering tournaments where we can learn, grow and develop,"

The ASUN Championships are slated for April 17-19 in Dothan, Alabama at the Dothan Country Club.

"Changes are a plenty as we approach our new season with two exciting new prospects arriving on campus, and our returners have had great summers on the course.  I expect our team to be firing on all cylinders when practice begins," Snodgrass concluded. "It's an exciting time to be a Wolf, and I can't wait for the season to get started!"
