GREENVILLE, N.C. - The UWG men's golf team wrapped up play at the Ironwood Intercollegiate on Monday in Greenville, North Carolina, finishing in 13th place.
The Wolves shot rounds of 301 and 294 and were led by a 20th-place finish individually by Luke Sienkiewicz.
Leading UWG in all three rounds on the week, Sienkiewicz shot a 73 in round two before his best round of the week in the final round, a two-under 70. The Germantown, Tennessee native made nine birdies over 36 holes on Monday.
Max Winnersjo was the second Wolf down the leaderboard, finishing in 51st place. The sophomore shot a 78 to start on Monday and then battled back to post a 73 in the final 18.
It was rounds of 75 and 77 for Thomas Romani on Monday as he finished in 69th place. Milton Wallin and Luke Able tied over 54 holes, coming in 75th place. Wallin shot 76 and 75 on Monday while Able shot 79 and 75 to close out the tournament.
East Carolina, who hosted the tournament, claimed the team title by eight shots over UCF.
UWG is now off for a week before returning to action on October 13-14 in Acworth, Georgia at Kennesaw State's "The Scrappy".
