CARROLLTON, Ga. - Head men's golf coach Shannon Lipham has added a local product via the transfer portal, announcing today the signing of Hayden Canary from Central Alabama Community College.
Canary, a native of Douglasville and graduate of Alexander High School, spent his freshman season at Central Alabama.
"Hayden had a phenomenal start to his collegiate career at Central Alabama, and we're excited to add him to our roster this fall," Lipham said, "He won an tournament as a freshman and I'm excited to see him in the red and blue and be a key contributor to our program."
Canary was the winner of the Dan York Memorial Invite where he shot 70-70-72 on his way to a five shot victory. He later finished 23rd at the NJCAA National Championships in Kansas, helping his team place sixth.
The incoming sophomore finished the season ranked #31 in the country in the NJCAA Player Rankings. As a prep player at Alexander, Canary finished sixth in the State AAAAA Championships as a senior.
Canary joins the four prep players Lipham signed, currently giving Lipham and the Wolves five newcomers to the 2026-27 roster.
