CARROLLTON, Ga. - Following their fifth straight victory to begin the 2025 season, the UWG football team once again climbed the national FCS rankings, coming in at number 16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll.
UWG jumped from 18th in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and from the 20th spot in the Coaches Poll following their 27-24, leas second win over Southern Utah on the road.
The Wolves now travel to Austin Peay for the first ever top-25 matchup in the program's brief Division I history. The Governors are ranked 22nd in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll while the Coaches ranked APSU at 21st.
West Georgia and Austin Peay are joined in both polls by fellow UAC members Tarleton State and Abilene Christian.
Kickoff on Saturday for UWG and APSU is set for 4 p.m. EST from Fortera Stadium in Clarksville, TN.
