West Georgia Volleyball Heads to Little Rock

CARROLLTON, Ga.- West Georgia travels to Little Rock, Arkansas to begin a two-game road stretch after a full week's rest since their previous match. The Wolves are still seeking their first UAC win of the season after falling to North Alabama and Central Arkansas last week.

UWG is looking past a four-set loss to Central Arkansas last Thursday. In the loss, redshirt-freshman Brooke McCall recorded 22 kills, a new career high. She was responsible for 22.0 total points last match, the second most in UWG history since elevating to the Division I level. McCall tied that record earlier this season when she was tagged for 23.0 points against Alabama A&M (Sept. 4), tying Mary Morgan Formby's 23.0 total for the most points by a Wolf since West Georgia's move to Division I (Aug. 30, 2024). She added four kills and one dig against UNA earlier in the week and three more digs against Central Arkansas. McCall currently leads the UAC in total kills and is second in the UAC in total points.

Defensively for the Wolves, Milena Cetkovic leads the team with the most blocks with 39 on the season thus far and .69 a set. Melina has 18 blocks in her past five matches, highlighted by tying her career high against UT-Arlington, stuffing them six times. Maddy Kirmer is close behind, totaling 38 on the season so far, adding a block in every match she has appeared in (15).

Little Rock is looking past a loss as well, dropping their Saturday match versus Abilene Christian 3-1. The Trojans are led by redshirt-freshman Avery Fearnley that leads the UAC in total points with 229.5. Fearnley is on a five-game streak of recording 10+ kills in a match. She compiled a double-double in Little Rock's last match versus ACU, posting 14 kills and 14 digs.
