EATONTON, Ga. - The UWG men's golf team made another improvement in the final round of the Linger Longer Invitational, shooting their best round of the tournament, a 300, to finish 17th at the 20th edition of the tournament held at Great Waters Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
The Wolves' final round 300 was five shots better than their round two score and 11 strokes better than their opening rounds score.
The highest finisher on the leaderboard for the Wolves was Thomas Romani who finished in 55th place after a final round 78. In 88th place was Milton Wallin who shot 77 after playing the first 13 holes even par.
Luke Able shot his best round of the tournament on Sunday, besting his round two score by a stroke to post a 74 and finish in 101st place.
A final round 71 from Max Winnersjo marked the low round of the day for UWG as the sophomore made five birdies to finish the day one-under par and in 103rd place. Jeremy Edmunds finished the tournament with a round of 83 and was in 106th place.
The Georgia Bulldogs won the event over Alabama in second and Vanderbilt in third.
UWG's next action is set for April 6-8 at the Golfweek Spring Challenge at Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
