"Once again, UWG Athletics has an opportunity, through this 2026 Hall of Fame class, to showcase some of the best-of-the-best as it relates to our history. In doing so, classes like this one continue to also inspire our future. We are excited to have this class be celebrated this fall," stated
Jason Carmichael, UWG Director of Athletics.
The UWG Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be inducted on Hall of Fame Weekend, set for October 16-17. The annual Induction Banquet will take place on Friday, October 16 and the four will be honored at halftime of UWG's October 17 football contest against conference foe Austin Peay.
BRANDON WHITE | Football | 2010-2013
As UWG football began to rebuild their program in brand new University Stadium, Brandon White came to Carrollton in 2010 and started a string of dominant offensive linemen for the red and blue. As a redshirt freshman, White would become one of just two offensive linemen in GSC history to be named Freshman of the Year. The Cincinnati, Ohio native would then earn Second Team All-Conference honors in year two and as a senior would earn First Team All-GSC Honors as well as being named First Team All-Region. As a senior, White and the offensive line paved the way for the second-best rushing attack in program history, averaging 234 rushing yards per game.
NADIA DAVILA | Women's Track and Field | 2017-2021
A quick search through the women's track and field record book will show Nadia Davila's dominance and impact on the young program. Coming to Carrollton in 2017, the Lilburn, Georgia native finished her career with nine medals at the GSC Indoor and Outdoor Championships combined and was All-Region in seven events over the course of her career. As of 2026, Davila still held school records in the 100m hurdles, the 60m hurdles, and the indoor high jump. Her 2021 GSC Championship high jump mark of 1.68 meters set what was at the time a meet record. To close out her career, Davila was named to the GSC Top Ten, which honors the top five female and male athletes in the conference regardless of sport, in 2020 and 2021.
DAN OBERST | Baseball | 2019-2021
One of the best sluggers of the last two decades, Dan Oberst smashed 28 career home runs in two and a half seasons. The Largo, Florida native hit .313 with eight home runs and 46 RBIs in his first season before the COVID pandemic shortened year two to just 20 games. Earning an extra year following the shortened 2020 season, Oberst made the most of 2021, hitting .409 with 33 extra-base hits, 17 home runs, and 54 RBIs. He was named the GSC Player of the Year, was the consensus South Region Player of the Year, and was named All-American by both the baseball writers and the coaches association in his final season. Oberst finished his career with the fifth-most career home runs in UWG history with 28. Following his collegiate career, Oberst was a mainstay for the world-renowned Savannah Bananas.
MARQUILL SMITH | Men's Basketball | 2017-19
For two seasons in the history of UWG men's basketball, Marquill Smith was synonymous with scoring the basketball. A two-time First Team All-GSC performer, Smith averaged 25.3 points over the course of his career while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and pouring in 168 career three-pointers. Smith's senior campaign saw the Miami, Florida native average 27.3 points per game and be named the GSC Player of the Year and earned All-Region honors and an invite to the Reese's NABC Division II All-Star Game. His 1,390 points ranks fourth all-time in UWG history, and he's the only player in program history to score over 1,300 points in just two seasons. He was named to the GSC All-Decade Team in 2020 and played professionally in the G-League and in Europe following his UWG career.
