Carrollton, GA - Week three begins on Wednesday for the West Georgia Wolves at home, as the Wolves play host to former GSC rival Montevallo at Cole Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

Skip Fite's charges will head east on Saturday and Sunday to take on Augusta State in a three-game series. The Wolves enter the week with a 3-3 record overall.
West Georgia Offense
As a team, the Wolves are hitting .320 on the season, led by second baseman #
Stuart Drew# and his .565 batting average. The junior has 13 hits and five RBI on the season and it tied with outfielder #
Brett Wright# for the team lead with six runs scored.
On the basepaths, the Wolves have been very aggressive this season, with 15 stolen bases in 17 attempts. Wright leads the team in that category with five stolen bases in five attempts, followed closely by Drew with four stolen bases in five attempts.

Andy Marinelli# has been the most clutch hitter on the season as he has eight RBI in nine hits. He is second on the team with a .375 batting average and has one of the Wolves' two home runs. Senior left fielder #
Daniel Henley# has the other home run and is hitting .333.
West Georgia Pitching
The young UWG pitching staff has been solid on the season and teams are hitting just .231 against the staff as a whole this season. The ace through the first six games has been freshman #
Brandon Crumbley#, who is 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA. He has gone 13 innings, allowed just six hits and struck out seven in his first two outings.
As a staff, the Wolves have a 4.30 ERA in 44 innings pitched. Four different players have started, with Crumbley and senior #Jared Slaven# the only pitchers with two starts under their belt. Slaven struggled in his first outing against Talladega on opening day, but settled down against Georgia College this weekend, and he retired 17 straight batters after giving up two early runs on Sunday.
